Independent Living Units
A five cottage development was opened in 1968, followed by a 12-bed residential unit complex in 1971. From these early stages, Pinaroo has been renewed, expanded and upgraded to become an ultra-modern facility meeting full accreditation standards and housing 71 residents - Our new independent living development was designed and completed in 2023 and we now have ten independent living units behind our aged care facility.
These units are contained in a gated community ensuring privacy and safety for our independent residents. All units have two bedrooms and are spacious, open planned living equipped for those over 65. The independent units are affordable housing options for retirees in our community.
The units are rented through a tennancy agreement witgh Pinaroo and those who reside can also apply for rent assistance and independent home care packages as required.
